Happy Fathers Day Father Emperor Penguin

“A father Emperor penguin with a feathered flap covers his eggs, kept on his feet and withstands the Antarctic cold for 60 days or more. Most of these fathers lose approximately 25 pounds during this long wait for their babies to hatch, because these fathers do not eat anything for this entire period. After that they feed the little chicks with a peculiar liquid from their throats and handover the responsibility of the chicks to their mothers. They then finally go to the sea to eat and take rest.”*
*This amazing fact is from http://www.bitoffun.com/Fun_Facts_animal.htm, and is probably the best testament of dedicated fatherhood.
